Short Update After One Week in 2025:
This year already feels like a disaster, and there seems to be no end in sight. In the US, Trump has announced plans to „conquer“ Greenland, the Panama Canal, and Canada, and wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Clown authoritarianism at its finest. Meanwhile, Musk is openly promoting the AfD and meddling in the German elections, and now Zuckerberg has announced that Meta will drop its fact-checking initiatives, seemingly to appease Trump.
As a result, I’ve disabled the Threads, Instagram, and Facebook interaction buttons on this blog. While I’m still on these platforms for now, I plan to phase them out in the coming weeks. Facebook might be the exception, as cutting ties there would mean losing contact with too many wonderful people.
On a slightly more positive note, my health update: Yes, cancer is still present, but the PET-CT scan revealed no signs of metastasis. Even in the former prostate region, nothing unusual is visible.
With this news, I’m scheduled for radiotherapy in the first quarter of 2025 (hopefully). The goal is to eliminate even the smallest and most improbable threats. I’ll keep you updated on the proceedings as they unfold.
