„Human Wheels“ von John Mellencamp ist eines der Stücke, für das ich mir die CD schon allein gekauft hätte, aber seinerzeit hörte ich noch „What if I came knocking“ und war hin und weg.
Zahlreiche Interpretationen für die Bedeutung des Songs finden sich im Web, ich habe es auf den besagten Sampler gepackt, weil es für mich ein Element von Verlust, Tod und dem Bewusstsein der Perspektive eines einzelnen Menschen in Relation zum Ganzen hat.
Definitiv eines der Lieder, an denen ich mich nie satt hören kann und das ich, aufgrund der vielen Pausen im Stück selbst, sogar heute noch einigermaßen mitsingen kann ;-)
